When the "Media" says President Obama doesn't lay out a plan....

They forgot to add FOX PROPAGANDA to the list

“Despite all the resistance, despite all the setbacks, I've never lost sight of the vision we shared—that you would have a voice.”-Barack Obama

I have never understood this rhetoric by the media as I have heard President Obama's message and plan for this Country from the very beginning.  What you don't hear from the main street media (which should be a topic every single day) is the constant filibusters and obstruction of the tea party republicans.  You can't change a Country when you have a "house party" that fights against everything good for the Country just so they can put ONE "Black Man" out of a job!  You can't make change when you have "Sheeple" who have lost their homes, their jobs and have no health care but STILL fight their butts off for the rich! "Sheeple" who still fight for the same party that brought America down in the first place!-Mem

In case you missed it! Nov. 1-2012 Green Bay WI
Update:
The tea party republicans are livid with Governor Chris Christie for working with the President and for praising the President because they have NEVER been about working with the President. They call themselves "patriots" but they should call themselves what they really are! "Domestic Terrorist"! (Tea Party Leaders-The Koch Brothers need their puppet Romney and they know Christie will not be a puppet to them or any party) The President and Chris Christie are doing what's right for the Country, coming together!

Mayor Bloomberg endorses Barack Obama for re-election!

Can you take a photo to help create jobs?

Take a photo of an example of our failing infrastructure to show Congress that America has jobs that need doing.

Yesterday, President Obama spoke from the Brent Spence bridge over the Ohio River about the vital connection between jobs and infrastructure repair.1 The Brent Spence bridge has been rated functionally obsolete and unsafe, it carries nearly twice the traffic it was designed to handle, and earlier this year, chunks of concrete fell from its upper level.2 And it isn't the only essential piece of infrastructure that's falling apart.3

The Whole Country Should Be Calling Out The Party Of No!

The President is frustrated as shown in this letter but I'm angry!  I'm angry that the media tells half truths.  I'm angry that the whole Country is not in an uproar about the tea party republicans and their actions (or rather non-actions) since they took the house!  Where are the jobs they promised?  They are so busy giving to the rich, trying to bring President Obama down, destroying the middle class, busting the unions and taking away our freedoms that they have become Anti-American and I'm sick to death of it.  I'm sick of people who fight against their own self-interest and who are loyal to a party that's taking this Country to the soup lines and tent cities!  You are not the only ones on this ship you are sinking with your denial and support; you are taking your kids, my kids and our grandchildren down with you!-Mem

Memory --

Today I asked for a joint session of Congress where I will lay out a clear plan to get Americans back to work. Next week, I will deliver the details of the plan and call on lawmakers to pass it.

I don’t need therapy; I need Jesus…to clear out the moneychangers!

In response to a person who left me a comment some time ago. (continue at bottom for full article)

Let me say that if it had not been for the eight years of the Bush/Cheney regime, my husband would not have lost a 25 year career.  We would have had health insurance and we would not have lost 30,000 in our 401K overnight   For those who don't think that this is not the fault of the "Party Of No!" then you are delusional.  They are destroying this Country in the name of God and yet they go against everything "their bible" teaches.  I say their bible because the religious right are the ones saying that they have been called.  It is the tea party republicans and the religious right who are fighting for the rich, who are fighting to make the poor and middle class non-existent.  It is the religious right who are trying to end medicare and SSI.  If those on the right continue to vote against their own self interest then you have learned nothing from the teachings of Christ!

Just The Facts Folks!

Before everyone starts screaming at the President, you might remember who is to blame for the third party being voted in to Congress during mid-terms.  If progressives had gotten out to vote instead of  "Teaching Obama A Lesson" and Indies hadn't voted for tea thugs to "Show Obama" then we wouldn't have those in Congress right now who don't care about re-election or if they take this Country to it's knees and Obama wouldn't always have to compromise!  As it stands, once again soldiers will get checks, my parents will get their SSI, and the world will not collapse into a deep depression. The President compromised to save our Country from the Domestic Terrorist In Congress but it will never be enough for the far left!-Mem

My husband was one of those deaths-June 3, 2011

Study links 45,000 U.S. deaths to lack of insurance

If I could I would sue the "Party Of No" for my husband's death! Three days in the hospital and a $126,000 medical bill that I cannot pay.  This is how we lose our homes, our lives! -Mem

"We're losing more Americans every day because of inaction ... than drunk driving and homicide combined," Dr. David Himmelstein, a co-author of the study and an associate professor of medicine at Harvard, said in an interview with Reuters.

Overall, researchers said American adults age 64 and younger who lack health insurance have a 40 percent higher risk of death than those who have coverage.

Scratch "We The People"

By Dan Touse
The "Chamber," FOX Fruitloops, Foch & their litany of think tanks & "grass roots" orgs have spent billions to convince the public - and apparently all broadcast "news" networks - that Obama is "anti business," "anti small business," ... has... "a problem" with business... And sadly, the American public buys it hook line and sinker.

What Would Karl Rove Want?

In this article, my premise is simple: determine what would Karl Rove want and make sure you do the opposite or at least not give any support to him or the Repug/TeaParty/NeoCons.

Karl Rove and the Republican Party with aid of the Tea Party and Screaming Talking heads of the Right including all of Faux News have specifically wrecked these harms on to the country and our political process:

Every Single Day The President Has To Fight....

The Party Of No! When will the Sheeple realize that they are supporting a party that does not care about them? A party that will continue to take their hard earned money while the Sheeple lose their homes, health and jobs while the rich get richer! When will the Sheeple realize they are fighting against their own self-interest and stand up to their party of no? ~Mem

President Obama in the Rose Garden/DISCLOSE Act-Mon Jul 26, 2010 at 04:57:27 PM PDT

Transcript Of Speech By President Obama

Good afternoon, everybody. Tomorrow there’s going to be a very important vote in the Senate about how much influence special interests should have over our democracy. Because of the Supreme Court’s decision earlier this year in the Citizens United case, big corporations –- even foreign-controlled ones –- are now allowed to spend unlimited amounts of money on American elections. They can buy millions of dollars worth of TV ads –- and worst of all, they don’t even have to reveal who’s actually paying for the ads. Instead, a group can hide behind a name like "Citizens for a Better Future," even if a more accurate name would be "Companies for Weaker Oversight." These shadow groups are already forming and building war chests of tens of millions of dollars to influence the fall elections.

Now, imagine the power this will give special interests over politicians. Corporate lobbyists will be able to tell members of Congress if they don’t vote the right way, they will face an onslaught of negative ads in their next campaign. And all too often, no one will actually know who’s really behind those ads.

So the House has already passed a bipartisan bill that would change all this before the next election. The DISCLOSE Act would simply require corporate political advertisers to reveal who’s funding their activities. So when special interests take to the airwaves, whoever is running and funding the ad would have to appear in the advertisement and claim responsibility for it -– like a company’s CEO or the organization’s biggest contributor. And foreign-controlled corporations and entities would be restricted from spending money to influence American elections -- just as they were in the past.

Now, you’d think that making these reforms would be a matter of common sense, particularly since they primarily involve just making sure that folks who are financing these ads are disclosed so that the American people can make up their own minds. Nobody is saying you can’t run the ads -- just make sure that people know who in fact is behind financing these ads. And you’d think that reducing corporate and even foreign influence over our elections would not be a partisan issue. But of course, this is Washington in 2010. And the Republican leadership in the Senate is once again using every tactic and every maneuver they can to prevent the DISCLOSE Act from even coming up for an up or down vote. Just like they did with unemployment insurance for Americans who’d lost their jobs in this recession. Just like they’re doing by blocking tax credits and lending assistance for small business owners. On issue after issue, we are trying to move America forward, and they keep on trying to take us back.
At a time of such challenge for America, we can’t afford these political games. Millions of Americans are struggling to get by, and their voices shouldn’t be drowned out by millions of dollars in secret, special interest advertising. The American people’s voices should be heard.

A vote to oppose these reforms is nothing less than a vote to allow corporate and special interest takeovers of our elections. It is damaging to our democracy. It is precisely what led a Republican President named Theodore Roosevelt to tackle this issue a century ago.

Back then, President Roosevelt warned of the dangers of limitless corporate spending in our political system. He actually called it "one of the principal sources of corruption in our political affairs." And he proposed strict limits on corporate influence in elections not because he was opposed to them expressing their views in the halls of democracy, but he didn’t want everybody else being drowned out.

He said, "Every special interest is entitled to justice, but no one is entitled" -- "not one is entitled to a vote in Congress, or a voice on the bench, or to representation in any public office," because he understood those weren’t individual voters -- these are amalgams of special interests. They have the right to hire their lobbyists. They have the right to put forward their view. They even have the right to advertise. But the least we should be able to do is know who they are.

So on Tuesday we face the sort of challenge that Teddy Roosevelt talked about over a century ago. We’ve got a similar opportunity to prevent special interests from gaining even more clout in Washington. This should not be a Democratic issue or a Republican issue. This is an issue that goes to whether or not we’re going to have a government that works for ordinary Americans; a government of, by and for the people.

That’s why these reforms are so important, and that’s why I urge the Senate to pass the DISCLOSE Act.

Just A Little Reminder For Those Who Want Bushed Again!

Today in the world of Internet the Repubs can post anything they want. Just like their favorite reality show "faux", they say it and people believe it. Recently I have seen repubs posting all over FB how Bush had the highest record for employment in 20 years when in reality he had the worst record for job growth. Under Bush those that made a profit were the banks, loan companies, oil companies, wall street, the wealthy from tax cuts and big corporations. This is where the Repubs funding comes from during the elections and they are not doing this for the "little peoples" benefit!

President Obama has done more in his 2 years then most Presidents had done in their full terms but it is hardly being noticed because of media lies, the vast lies on the Internet and advertisements from the Chamber Of Commerce. According to local news last night they spend 3 million dollars a week in ads to fight the Presidents "Agenda".

America should be ashamed of themselves. We have people starving, out of jobs, living on the streets and we have the Chamber Of Commerce spending millions a week to fight our President. The right is succeeding in destroying this Country just to make sure it LOOKS like President Obama is failing. This is disgusting and it is up to us to make sure the truth gets out there and that this behavior is recorded and remembered by future generations. ~Mem

Here's some facts.

Job growth under Bush was worst since WWII
Jacksonville Business Journal - by G. Scott Thomas
This was an article from January 20, 2009

President George W. Bush will leave office Tuesday with the worst employment-growth record of any president since World War II, according to a new analysis by Bizjournals.

The nation’s job base grew at an annual rate of 0.28 percent during Bush’s eight years as president – by far the slowest pace for any of the 11 presidents in the postwar era, according to Bizjournals. Bizjournals is the online media arm of American City Business Journals, The Business Review's parent company.

The previous low had been set by Bush’s father, George H.W. Bush, with an annual job-growth rate of 0.59 percent. The elder Bush served between 1989 and 1993.

Bizjournals used seasonally adjusted data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics to calculate employment-growth rates for the administrations of all presidents since Harry Truman. Each president’s record was based on a comparison of job totals in the final full month served by his predecessor and his own final month. George W. Bush’s span ran from December 2000, when nonfarm employment totaled 132.5 million, to December 2008, when it reached 135.5 million.

The administration with the strongest growth rate since World War II was that of Lyndon Johnson, who served between November 1963 and January 1969. Employment increased at an annual pace of 3.74 percent during that period.

Bizjournals also looked at five subsets of job growth, with the younger President Bush finishing last in four of those categories – private-sector, manufacturing, retail-trade and government employment. The exception was construction employment, where Bush ranked ninth with an annual growth rate of 0.08 percent. The nation suffered losses of construction jobs under two presidents: Gerald Ford (down 3.75 percent per year between 1974 and 1977) and George H.W. Bush (down 3.22 percent per year).

Johnson was the top-rated president in three of the subsets – private-sector, manufacturing and government employment. Harry Truman, who was president from 1945 to 1953, led the other two – construction and retail-trade employment.

Annual employment-growth rates for all 11 postwar presidents are listed below:
Total employment
1. Lyndon Johnson (1963-69), 3.74%
2. Jimmy Carter (1977-81), 3.11%
3. Bill Clinton (1993-2001), 2.42%
4. Harry Truman (1945-53), 2.38%
5. Richard Nixon (1969-74), 2.30%
6. John Kennedy (1961-63), 2.28%
7. Ronald Reagan (1981-89), 2.04%
8. Gerald Ford (1974-77), 0.95%
9. Dwight Eisenhower (1953-61), 0.87%
10. George H.W. Bush (1989-93), 0.59%
11. George W. Bush (2001-09), 0.28%
