Who Is The Bigger Fool?

Rush Limbaugh a college drop out.. & busted drug addict. A man who has been married four times is the voice of the so called “Family Values Party”. His lack of education doesn't hinder his constant critiquing of the President’s policy decisions. No matter how complex the issue he rants constantly about drug dealers & addicts, oblivious to the fact that he himself is an addict.. The fact that he is in his fourth marriage has not stopped him from expounding on family values & morals. Gay bashing is another of his favorite pastimes yet he overlooked his disdain for gays when he paid Elton John a million dollars to perform at his wedding. The fact that you would listen to, follow, or take advice from this man says more about you than it does about him... — with Charles Tillery.

The Lazy Paralytic

1. When Jesus returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at his home. 2. So many gathered around that there was no longer room for them, not even in front of the door; and he was speaking the word to them. 3. Then some people came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them.

Why President Obama is more like Jesus Christ than any Republican

By Robert Sobel

In American politics today, religion has seemed to find its way into the conversation more than it's intended to. Somehow over the years the Republican party has hijacked the Christian faith, the most popular religion in American, and has used the religion when they see the need in order to fit their political ideology. The biggest problem with what the Republican party has done is that the message they praise is not the message they preach.

Sarah's Christmas!

Twas a few days before Christmas in the Palin house and not a dysfunctional child was stirring, not even Todd the louse.

Sarah set in her footie pajama's all sprawled on the floor, waiting and waiting for that knock on the door.

Priceless! (Video)

For those who didn't see this last night, it was priceless. I have always believed in God, a power that is greater then me. But with that said, I do not believe in organized religion and have said this many times. I think organized religion is a way to control and govern. It is not Big Government that people should fear, but religions that teach others to hate what they don't know or understand.

For the record, I was raised in a very religious home.  (Same religion as Palin) We went to church every Sunday morning, every Sunday night and every Wednesday night.  I was also raised in a Republican home.  With that said, my parents never hated on anyone.  They took strangers into their home all the time, fed the poor and helped widows.  In other words my parents practiced the teachings of Christ.

Canada's Radio Act requires that "a licensee may not broadcast....any false or misleading news." The provision has kept Fox News and right wing talk radio out of Canada.

A message to the right! Don't tell me you are a Christian if you support and follow those who invoke hate and violence. Don't tell me you are a Christian if you support and listen to Fox News who blatantly lie to the people and have purposely tried to divide this Country in the name of God. Don't tell me you are a Christian and believe in family values if you support a woman like Sarah Palin who uses Her Children, God and Country to line her bank account. Don't tell me you are a Christian if your concerns are for the Corporations rather then the poor and homeless. Don't tell me you are a Christian until you are ready to show me what makes you a Christian!-Mem  (cont. for story and video)

'Hate Free' or 'Hate Filled': Muslim-bashing in America

Seattle defined itself proudly as a "Hate Free Zone" after 9/11, with Church Council volunteers doing protective duty at the Idriss Mosque and our religious and civic leaders calling for respect of Islam.

"It was immediately realized by a number of us that distinctions should be made between what was a criminal act and the actions of people of faith in our midst," said Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Wash.

Watching Fox News or listening to Rush Limbaugh these days, you'll see a concerted effort to create a "Hate Filled America." A Islamic cultural center in lower Manhatten has become a fulfrum for stirring up antipathy toward Muslims.

Our homegrown American Taliban (phrase courtesy of liberal blogger Markos Moulitsas) is stirring up nativist resentment across the land. They follow footsteps of the 19th Century anti-Catholic Know Nothings, and later haters of Italian immigrants, Chinese laborers, and lately Hispanics.

The resentment has two goals, reaping political advantage in the 2010 election and de-Americanizing America's 44th president.

Who's the real winner? Well, listen to the words of Anwar al-Awlaki, the Internet extremist linked to the Fort Hood killings and the botched attack on a Detroit-bound jet last Christmas.

In his latest video, Awlaki uses Islam-bashing as a recruiting tool:

"To Muslims in America, I have this to say: How can your conscience allow you to live in peaceful coexistence with the nation that is responsible for the tyranny and crimes committed against your own brothers and sisters?"

Awlaki has been given lots of locker room fodder by the American Taliban.

  • Ex-presidential candidate Patrick Buchanan likened the lower Manhatten cultural center to letting Nazis march through Skokie, Ill.

  • Jay Sekulow, chief counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice, responded on Fox to calls for forbearance with the words: "That argument is like saying this: It would be appropriate and show tolerance to allow a monument to kamikaze pilots at the site of the Arizona at Pearl Harbor."

  • On Fox & Friends, Newt Gingrich said: "Nazis don't have the rights to put up a sign next to the Holocause museum in Washington."

  • Rush Limbaugh asked, on his radio show: "What would happen, do you think, if the Ku Klux Klan established a memorial at Gettysburg?"

The bombardment on the Internet and airwaves seems to be moving opinion, if you look at the latest Pew Research poll.

By a 38 percent to 30 percent margin, with many undecided, Americans now have an unfavorable view of Islam. It was 41-35 favorable last year. The number of people who believe President Obama is a Muslim has risen from 11 percent to 18 percent, including a plurality of Republicans. The percentage believing that Obama is a Christian -- which he is -- has fallen from 48 percent to 34 percent: Again, many are undecided.

It's working overseas as well -- against America. "The 'War on Terror' is becoming a 'War on Islam'," said McDermott. "This creates a black eye that will not be forgotten. With headlines in other countries, it becomes a black mark against us."

The hate campaign, particularly on Fox, raises a question: Where are the decent voices in America's political opposition?

In the 1960's, when the (now-resurgent) John Birch Society proclaimed President Eisenhower "a conscious agent of the Communist conspiracy," conservative columnist William F. Buckley, Jr., was there to repudiate (or "refudiate" if you prefer Palin-speak) the Birchers' off-the-wall arguments.

Not today! Listen to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, asked about the president's religion on "Meet the Press": "The president says he's a Christian. I take him at his word."

What a weasel-worded way to spread a rumor while keeping distance from it. Or Sen. Richard Shelby of Alabama: "Well, his father was born in Kenya and they say he was born in Hawaii, but I haven't seen any birth certificate."

On Monday, Republican National Committee member Kim Lehman of Iowa claimed: "BTW (By the Way) he (Obama) personally told the Muslims he IS a Muslim." She later repeated the charge to Huffington Post.

Lehman is distorting a 2008 campaign speech in which Obama actually said: "I'm a Christian but my father came from a Kenyan family that included several generations of Muslims . . .As a young man I worked in Chicago communities where many found dignity and peace in this Muslim faith."

Ah, but here is what evangelist Franklin Graham said on CNN the other day: "I think the president's problem is that he was born a Muslim. His father was a Muslim. The seed of Islam is passed through the father, like the seed of Judaism is passed through the mother."

One can ask: Has the seed of Christianity passed from the tolerance-preaching Rev. Billy Graham to his prejudice spouting son?

What is the seed talk anyway? Faith is discovered and embraced, a commitment that Obama reached as an adult. Christianity, Judaism, Islam -- all bring the challenge of living the faith. President George W. Bush, post-9/11, condemned nativism and repeatedly spoke of Islam as a religion of peace.

We have the word of Mitch McConnell, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly and Newt Gingrich (a recent, noisy Catholic convert) that they are Christians: They might consider reading -- and heeding -- a basic commandment of the faith: Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor!

Do Not Let The Religious Right And Their Offenders Build Near You Or Your Children

I am SICK TO DEATH of the "religious right" and hypocrites from the Republican Party screaming about the Mosque. People of ALL colors and religions DIED that day!

If you are going to continue this fight then I am going to INSIST that NO Christian Church or Event Center EVER be built near the Oklahoma Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building as Timothy McVeigh was a PROFESSED CHRISTIAN!

According to the history of the German Families who settled here in Texas they did and still do consider themselves Christians. Do we hold all Christians who are German as Nazi Holocaust murderers? Have we held them accountable and kept them from building Churches or Event Centers?

I am going to insist that NO Catholic Churches are built near any all boy schools! I am also going to INSIST that NO Christian Churches or Christian Event Centers be built near any of these right-wing offenders or their victims!

Keep your Pedophiles away from our children! Do not build your Churches or Event Centers that these people attend or preach at anywhere near our children! ~Mem

    The Right To Religious Freedom

Selah there is a lot going on in the world today and one of the most important topics right now is the Mosque being built near Ground Zero. I am enclosing an article from one of my favorite sites but first I want you to know how I feel about this.

Many on the right are fighting against this and feel that the Muslims have no right to build a Mosque near the site. They constantly scream that they want their Country back (they just don't have the guts to say from the black man). They say they want it back because the Democrats and President Obama are taking our freedoms away. History will prove, just like this incident that it is the republicans who are trying to take away the freedoms of the American people. One of these days I will make a list of freedoms they are trying to take but you will recognise most of them yourself from the stories on my blog and history itself.

It was not just White People or Christians that were in those planes, in the buildings that day. There were people of all colors, all religions including Muslims.

I ask the question of those who are against it, should we not allow the Christians to build any type of church or religious center near the Oklahoma bombing site since Timothy McVeigh was a professed Christian? Where is the difference? Selah I am thankful that we have a President that realizes the importance of religious freedom and the difference between church and state.

I think it's important that you know how our President felt about this situation and what he stood for. ♥ Grandma

Obama Strongly Defends Religious Freedom and the Ground Zero Mosque

    8/7/10

    Right-Wing Insani-Tea

If you've followed the conservative media over the past few weeks, you can be forgiven for thinking that it's a tough time for white Christians in America right now, what with the New Black Panthers denying white people their voting rights and undocumented workers clogging up our civic machinery with "anchor babies." The message coming from Fox News and some of the more determined attention-seekers on the right is that we're in a battle for white America's Jesus-worshiping soul, beset as it is by immigrants and black USDA officials and, perhaps most threateningly, Muslims.

The New York City landmarks commission decided this week to act in the interest of New Yorkers rather than out-of-state conservative pundits and voted to clear the way for the construction of an Islamic center in lower Manhattan, a few blocks from the site where the World Trade Center once stood. This was unacceptable to said pundits, who insisted that this site of America's mourning should be exempted from American values. "We're all about religious freedom," explained Sarah Palin, but only "down the road." Newt Gingrich announced, "I favor religious freedom," but not "right at the edge of a place where, let's be clear, thousands of Americans were killed in an attack by radical Islamists."

The argument from the right is relatively straightforward -- Muslim terrorists destroyed the Twin Towers, therefore we should ban all things Muslim from the area, in the interest of healing and sympathy (although, as Salon noted, they were curiously silent when Muslims began praying in the Pentagon shortly after 9-11). That argument necessarily holds all Muslims accountable for the detestable acts of the small and violent minority of Muslims who take up the terrorist mantle. On its own, that would be offensive enough, but people like Palin and Gingrich purport to be sensitive to that distinction and nonetheless run roughshod over it. Palin famously took to her Twitter account to exhort "peaceful Muslims" to "refudiate" the Islamic center. Gingrich acknowledged the differences between "radical Islamists" and other Muslims before launching into an unhinged attack on the "Ground Zero mosque" and "Creeping Sharia in the United States."

Others simply can't be bothered to even pretend to understand that "Muslim" does not equal "terrorist." A "recruiting tool for domestic extremists" was how Rush Limbaugh described the Islamic center. Glenn Beck called it an "Allah tells me to blow up America mosque." Comments like these badly mischaracterize what the "Ground Zero mosque" actually is and the role it will play in America's unsettled relationship with the Muslim world.

The people behind the mosque are Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and his wife, Daisy Khan, and contrary to what the right wing would have you believe, Time magazine says they're "actually the kind of Muslim leaders right-wing commentators fantasize about: modernists and moderates who openly condemn the death cult of al-Qaeda and its adherents." Rauf has written a book titled What's Right with Islam Is What's Right with America. In late 2001, after the 9-11 attacks, Rauf was quoted in New Jersey's Bergen County Record as saying that Islam must "define its 'American-ness,' that is, adapt to the American culture." The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg, who knows Rauf, describes him as representing "what Bin Laden fears most: a Muslim who believes that it is possible to remain true to the values of Islam and, at the same time, to be a loyal citizen of a Western, non-Muslim country."

That message, however, is unimportant to right-wingers who are more interested in turning the "Ground Zero mosque" into a wedge issue and stoking Islamophobia for political benefit. The tragic farce of it all, as described by Slate's William Saletan, is that people like Palin and Gingrich, who purport to be standing up against terror and for America, are actually promulgating the same message as Osama bin Laden -- that "the United States represents Christianity, al-Qaida represents Muslims, Christians won't protect Muslims, the West hates mosques, peaceful coexistence is a fraud, and the 'war on terrorism' is really a war on Islam." It's hard to argue with that assessment when you hear the likes of Limbaugh claiming that the "Ground Zero mosque" means Muslims are "planting the flag of victory."

Jonathan Chait surveyed the right-wing opposition to the mosque and concluded that "a lot of people are going to eventually feel ashamed about where they stood." That might be true, but all signs seem to indicate that these people are about as familiar with the concept of shame as they are with religious freedom.

*After thought because of a conversation on FB. Many people died there. It wasn't just white people or people from the Baptist religion or Catholic religion or some other "American" religion. The "Christians" keep forgetting the teachings of their God, that he created and loves ALL his people! I guess they think that God is an American? Next they'll be asking to see his papers... ~Mem

    Palin, False Prophet For Profit?

    by Mem

    Two Types Of False Prophets

Those outside the church, who are really no grave danger to believers; and those inside the church, "wolves in sheep clothing." Paul told the Ephesian elders that men would rise up from their own midst and draw men away with false doctrines (Acts 20:29,30). It's these angels of light the church must beware and be able to identify before they wreak unprecedented havoc.

    By Their Fruit

In Matt. 7:20-23, Jesus taught that even if a prophet could do miracles, it meant nothing if his life did not bear the right fruit. Often times Paul identifies false prophets by this condition (2 Tim 3:1-5). In Acts 20:29,30 false prophets were the ones who drew disciples to themselves. How the church today is inundated with such individuals! The prophets of old were not media celebrities who relentlessly pleaded with people for their financial offerings payable directly to their bank accounts. False prophets were the ones greedy for filthy lucre (1 Tim. 6:3-7). They may even fabricate lies and false testimonies just to hoodwink the gullible who cannot search truth for themselves (2 Pet. 2:3). In 1 Cor. 11, Paul cites his sacrificial life as evidence of authentic apostleship. As you read it, you’ll realize that the sacrifice Paul talked about was not waking a few late nights or preaching 3 sermons a week. It is unlikely false prophets would sacrifice the very comfort of their lives because that would be counterproductive to their selfish goals.

I have also been in communication with the minister from the Assembly Of God Church in Wasilla because I know that many people from the religious right support Palin because of their affiliation with the Church. The minister informed me that Palin's have not been a member of this church for about 8 years now.

Palin's Movement Urges 'Godly' To 'Plunder' Wealth Of The 'Godless' (so does she consider all of her supporters who are losing their homes, health and jobs and yet donating to her, Godless?) I believe that Palin uses God and Religion for profit and does this through invoking fear.

She is not intelligent and yet she is able to excite the mob! (Sound familiar? I bet Jesus would say "Yes, it does") She has the ability to invoke hate, fear, racism and violence and that is the "key" to her success. She preaches "Patriotism" and "Real Americans" while supporting the AIP whom her husband Todd belonged to for years. AIP's creation was inspired by the rabidly violent anti-Americanism of its founding father Joe Vogler.

Vogler was murdered in 1993 during an illegal sale of plastic explosives that went bad. The prior year, he had renounced his allegiance to the United States explaining that, "The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government." He cursed the stars and stripes, promising, "I won't be buried under their damned flag...when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home." Palin has never denounced Vogler or his detestable anti-Americanism. Palin's husband Todd remained an AIP party member from 1995 to 2002.

Article by Bruce Wilson was posted November 1, 2008 and I thought it was a good time to take another look at it. ~Mem

Sarah Palin endorser Bishop Thomas Muthee, in a speech he gave before blessing and anointing Sarah Palin as a political leader, on October 16, 2005 at the Wasilla Assembly of God, laid out the current agenda of the New Apostolic Reformation - how "God's kingdom" needed to "infiltrate" seven sectors of society. Muthee listed most of them: business and finance, schools and education, media and entertainment, politics and government.

Muthee also stated "The Bible says the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous. Sarah Palin was in the audience. Minutes later, she was anointed, and blessed, with the laying on of hands.

Thomas Muthee is an internationally known celebrity in the New Apostolic Reformation and a personal friend of the movement's head, C. Peter Wagner. In June 2006 Wagner proclaimed that "God has declared through His prophets that the wealth of the wicked will be released to the Kingdom of God," and declared, threateningly, "the enemies' camp will be plundered." Religious Right Believe That Beck Is Taking His Followers Straight To Hell

Christian Right-Winger Worried Glenn Beck Is Taking Christian Souls to Hell

Glenn Beck presents a conundrum for the Christian right. They appreciate his bigotry, but are in turn bigoted against his Mormon faith. Sometimes the politics of hate is complicated.

“Internet evangelist” (no, I don’t know what that is) Bill Keller is no longer willing to compromise his Christian principles though. Keller, who warned 2008 primary voters that a vote for the Mormon Mitt Romney was a vote for Satan, has launched a campaign to warn Christians that Glenn Beck is taking their “ignorant souls to hell.” (via Think Progress.)

Keller states, “Beck likes to call out people for their lies and deception, yet he portrays himself daily as a Christian. The fact is, the beliefs of the satanic Mormon cult are totally inconsistent with Biblical Christianity. He uses the words “god” and “jesus,” yet the god and jesus of the Mormon cult are NOT the God and Jesus of the Bible!”

Keller continues, “The ‘god’ of the Mormon cult used to be a human who rose to god-like status, just like Beck and all Mormons believe
