I agree with Dan! This should be (IS) Treason!
I had posted this picture to my FB and my friend wrote this in the comment and I very much agree with him and think this should be brought up to the American people as well as ask where the media has been on this?-Mem
Dan Touse Add to this: > Perhaps more significant than the the above. the public should know that on the evening of 20 Jan 2009, as all of Washington was celebrating the Inauguration of President Obama, this prominent member of the House of Representatives andfuture candidate for the Vice President of the United States was engaged in a FOUR Hour meeting with 13 GOP colleagues at the plush Caucus Room Restaurant PLOTTING HOW TO DESTROY THE PRESIDENCY of the just Inaugurated President!!! They mutually agreed to do everything within their power to block or defeat any and every bill or initiative of the President - no matter how critical they might be to the National Welfare! They vowed to do everything possible to portray the President, his policies, and his party, in the most negative manner possible Upon exiting the meeting, participant Gingrich commented this meeting initiated the defeat of President Obama. A few weeks later fellow participant Pete Sessions of Tx boasted they would need to adopt Taliban-like tactics to confuse, disrupt, and defeat the Administration. It is hard to construe this as anything less than TREASON! One would think it would be impossible to nominate let alone vote for such a sleeze!
But what I find troubling is that Democrats, Progressives, & progressive orgs like MoveOn and the whole host of others, & the Media ALL Knew this & DID NOTHING. Most of the participants are up for re-election and this most Damning event is not even mentioned. No commercials! No Outrage! I urge FB-ers & orgs to try to raise this issue now. The participants:
GOP Reps
ERIC CANTOR [Va] Kevin McCarthy [Ca]
PAUL RYAN [Wi] Pete Sessions [Tx]
Jeb Hensarling [Tx] Pete Hoeksta [Mi]
Dan Lungren [Ca]
GOP Senators
Jim DeMint [SC] Jon Kyl [Az]
Tom Coburn [Ok] John Ensign [Nv]
Bob Corker [Tn]
Misc GOP Freaks: Gingrich; Frank Luntz McConnell [and Boehner] were not present at this meeting - they had other issues with Luntz - but were fully complicit. Before leaving the GOP, the late Sen Arlen Spector attended the 1st post-Inaugural GOP Caucus meeting and stated the Leadership was commanding its members to block every Obama initiative. Vice President Biden essentially confirmed this when he reported Eight former GOP Senate colleagues approached him to apologize that they would not be able to help on any issue because they had strict orders from McConnell not to! There are 2 days left... get the word out - Vote these bastards down

Who Is The Bigger Fool?
Rush Limbaugh a college drop out.. & busted drug addict. A man who has been married four times is the voice of the so called “Family Values Party”. His lack of education doesn't hinder his constant critiquing of the President’s policy decisions. No matter how complex the issue he rants constantly about drug dealers & addicts, oblivious to the fact that he himself is an addict.. The fact that he is in his fourth marriage has not stopped him from expounding on family values & morals. Gay bashing is another of his favorite pastimes yet he overlooked his disdain for gays when he paid Elton John a million dollars to perform at his wedding. The fact that you would listen to, follow, or take advice from this man says more about you than it does about him... — with Charles Tillery.

Kansas Republicans: We need to see Obama's birth certificate
September 14, 2012 1:55 PM
Updated 4:03 P.M. Eastern Time with Joe Montgomery dropping his petition. (See bottom.)
(CBS News) Kansas' Republican Secretary of State and two other Republican officials have determined that they do not have enough evidence to determine whether President Obama can appear on the Kansas ballot, the Topeka Capital-Journal reported.
Secretary of State Kris Kobach, Attorney General Derek Schmidt and Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer said they need to review the president's birth certificate and other documents before they can respond to a complaint alleging that Mr. Obama is not a "natural born citizen."

Mitt Romney Claims Troops Weren’t Important Enough to Include in His Convention Speech
By: Sarah JonesSeptember 7th, 2012
Mitt Romney told Bret Baier on Fox News today that he did not talk about the troops in his convention speech because, “You don’t go through a laundry list; you talk about the things you think are important.”
In full context, he said, “When you give a speech, you don’t go thru a laundry list; you talk about things you think are important. And I described in my speech a commitment to a strong military, unlike the President’s decision to cut our military, and I didn’t use the word troops, I used the word military, and I think (giggling) they refer to the same thing.”

President Barack Obama’s re-election will be better for businesses than a country led by Mitt Romney, Jim Sinegal, co-founder of Costco Wholesale Corp. (COST), said during a speech at the Democratic National Convention.
Companies need “a president who takes the long view and makes the tough decisions,” said Sinegal, who remained on the board of the largest U.S. warehouse-club chain after retiring as its chief executive officer in January. “That’s why I am here tonight supporting President Obama, a president making an economy built to last.”

Unhappy Anniversary: Republicans Have Blocked The American Jobs Act For One Year
By Travis Waldron on Sep 7, 2012
On September 8, 2011 — one year ago tomorrow — President Obama laid out a series of policy proposals known collectively as the American Jobs Act. The plan included stimulus spending in the form of immediate infrastructure investments, tax credits for working Americans and employers to encourage consumer spending and job growth, and efforts to shore up state and local budgets to prevent further layoffs of teachers, firefighters, police officers, and other public safety officials.

All the perplexities, confusion and distress in America arise not from defects in the Constitution or Confederation, not from a want of honor or virtue so much as from downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit and circulation.

CNN Throws A Tea Party!
During the Tea Party Republican debate the Crowd Yells Let Him Die. This is what the Republicans vote for while they stand in food lines, lose their homes and send their children to school hungry! I have seen it with my own eyes here in the state of Texas. Those who scream the loudest for small government are the ones who use the system the most! By the way, I have said this many times; When I was growing up Tea Parties were for little girls...nothing has changed!-Mem

Fact checking the CNN and Tea Party Express debate in Tampa
By Glenn Kessler

(Reuters)
The Republican presidential debate in Tampa, Fla., co-hosted by CNN and the Tea Party Express, was feisty and provocative, with many of the candidates relying once again on bogus “facts” that we have previously identified as faulty or misleading.

This is not your father's (or mother's) GOP. During a time of national crisis, the President has submitted an urgently-needed jobs bill that is well within the mainstream for Republicans as well as Democrats. But today's Republicans are a new breed, dedicated not to their country or even an ideology.

Constituents....ask a question...get on the GOP Watch List!
GOP Congressmen Put Constituents Who Asked Tough Questions On A ‘Watch List’

In recent weeks GOP congressmen have resorted to all sorts of underhanded schemes to avoid interacting with their angry constituents back home over August recess. Now two Republican freshmen, Reps. Daniel Webster (R-FL) and Tim Griffin (R-AZ), are taking this trend one step further, using disturbing intimidation tactics and “watch lists” to discourage constituents from asking them questions:

What should be clear to the whole world watching the debt-ceiling battle is that the Republicans are far more intent on taking the president's scalp than balancing the nation's books.

Going Populist? Dems Put GOP On Spot Over Tax Benefits For The Super-Rich
Brian Beutler | July 1, 2011, 6:00AM
Several weeks after Republicans and Democrats began high-level negotiations to slash federal spending by trillions of dollars -- the GOP's price for raising the national borrowing limit, and avoiding a catastrophic debt default -- Democrats finally peeped up. New tax revenues, of some kind, of some amount, would have to be part of the deal.
