The media may not want to touch this story for various reasons (some explained at babygate) but most of us want to know the truth. I have never thought that Sarah gave birth to Trig but Babygate is one of the most intriguing blogs online right now. Lord how I would love to be a fly on the Palin's wall! Questionable Press

There has been a lot of discussion lately concerning the avoidance by the MSM of asking about or investigating the Babygate issue in any significant manner. As far as the embarrassment factor for the press goes, I think it is time we all just face the facts: what the press is doing, they are doing on purpose. Yes, they are deliberately avoiding Babygate, but they are also avoiding any issue that might actually begin the downward spiral of the media cash cow and gravy train. The more likely the issue might have some genuine effect in removing this cash cow from our television screens, the more it is avoided by the media. Here is a large, random list of many such questions, ranging from very moderate to powerful in their range of possible effect. If any of these questions have actually been asked at all, then they have either not been asked often enough, or of the right people at the right time, or the person asking the question has simply accepted a stupid Palin answer without delving further. Here we go.

Are you saying, Mrs. Palin, that your water had broken in Grapevine TX, and when you were planning to fly home, that Governor Rick Perry offered you and Todd the use of his private jet to return to Alaska in comfort and safety, and instead of taking him up on his generous offer, you chose to fly home via commercial air in which you changed planes several times? Did you not imagine the horror and embarrassment of even the slightest possibility of being forced to give birth in the First Class aisle of a commercial airliner? Did you consider the impact on your child, whom you have stated that you knew in advance would be born with Down syndrome? What if other passengers on that flight had been caused severe inconvenience or worse if the flight had been re-routed due to the birth of your child? Would you not have been embarrassed to read this in the national press? What if someone, a teenager or a person of less than honorable scruples, had taken a picture of you giving birth and sold it to the tabloids or put it on the internet? Would that have not been a severely embarrassing situation for a sitting governor?

Let's talk about your home on Lake Lucille. Some people have alleged that certain building materials on your house were exactly the same as those used on the Wasilla Sports Complex constructed while you were mayor. Can you answer these allegations? Do you have paperwork to certify that all your home construction projects were properly paid for and carried out? Speaking of the Sports Complex, records show that there was quite a dispute over the land the building was constructed upon, that the land was not yet completely owned by the city when construction began. Can you clear this up for us a bit? Documents show that this error cost the City of Wasilla a small fortune for a town of its size. Do you think that extra cost could have been avoided?

Reader Jim (aka Prup), a friend and frequent commenter at Cogitamus--and someone who does have a few differences with me about Sarah Palin's motivations as well as those of the mainstream media journalists who to this day have not investigated the ex-governor's strange, inconsistency and lie-filled stories* surrounding what has come to be known as Babygate--has written a terrific set of questions designed to get Palin supporters thinking.**

Ten Questions for Sarah Palin's supporters who are also mothers:

1. If you were a state governor who was eight months pregnant--and remember, Sarah Palin already knew hers was a high-risk pregnancy because of her age (44) and, according to her book, her baby having been diagnosed via amniocentesis as having Down syndrome--and you were scheduled to fly some 4,000 miles from home to give a speech at a conference, would you (a) give your speech from home via teleconferencing, using modern real-time technology, and explain to your hosts that the high-risk nature and advanced stage of your pregnancy made you reluctant to fly; or, alternatively, send the deputy governor to give your speech or (b) dismiss any staff or security slated to fly with you and insist on flying 4,000 miles to the conference yourself?

2. If, while attending this conference, you experienced leaking amniotic fluid and felt early contractions on the morning before you were scheduled to speak, would you (a) hand the speech to someone else, ask him or her to give it on your behalf, and go straight to the nearest hospital--one that was equipped for handling high-risk mothers, premature births, and special-needs infants--and get yourself checked out by a doctor or (b) continue with your day and give the speech anyway?

Something STINKS in Alaska-The American Life Of Sarah Palin

In her book that she did not write, "Going Rogue" is supposedly about the American Life of Sarah Palin, but this blog I discovered opens up the possibility of the Real Life of Sarah Palin. I spent hours reading last night as the author of the blog weaves together time lines and stories of the Palins and life in Alaska. (I will note here that I have spent much time since the election researching Palins and have never believed for one minute that Sarah is the mother ofTrig Palin)

I have been in constant amazement since Palin stepped onto the platform as VP of her ignorance and ability to pump up the crowd in a frenzy of hate and racism. What amazes me more is the media response to this woman. They don't want to touch the truth behind this woman because they are either afraid of her or the train wreck has brought them such high ratings that the truth no longer matters. (I'm not just talking fox noise but mainstream media as well) From what I can see, the truth would make them all rich as well so why are they protecting her? Judge for yourself!~Mem

The Secret Gag Order

Never one to let an opportunity to play the victim pass her by, Sarah Palin took to her Facebook page to blast the media for what she called, “A dark and demented conspiracy regarding my son, Trig.” According to Palin, this is why she doesn’t talk to anyone but the friendliest right wing media, and she refuses to do serious interviews because the media is out to get her.

The Daily Caller, who Palin just happened to give a friendly interview to last week, has been selectively releasing, a.k.a. Breitbarting parts of the Journolist email exchange. Here is part of what was released about Baby Gate from August 2008:

If one is looking for secrets, Wasilla might be one of the greatest places ever. We don't know all of them, of course. ;-) However, ever since we started to investigate Queen Sarah, the creature that came from Wasilla, we slowly started to get to know some of them. We received information from several sources over time, and we are incredibly careful when it comes to publishing it. Several things we have heard we have never published so far, because it was not substantiated enough to back it up. This rule still applies. There are still untold stories for us to reveal at some later point.

Recently a particularly well-informed person from the circle close to Palins came forward. We know of course the identity of the source, and the information we received was very detailed and absolutely credible. After an email exchange, I had a long phone conversation with this person, we also diligently checked the general personal background, and the time has come to let the world know what we were told.

In my little teaser in the comments earlier today I said that it will have a bit of everything. The main part of the events have to do with the Palins and the Morlocks, two families who are very close to each other. The children grew up and played together, they went to school with each other, they had sleepovers at each other's houses, the kids had Sarah Palin's cellphone number saved and some of the adults have known each other for more than 30 years. The association of the families is very, very tight.

If you think you recognize this name: I am talking about the family of Jeremy Morlock, the soldier from Wasilla who was recently arrested for being under suspicion of murder, while being on duty in Afghanistan.

When the news broke that Jeremy Morlock was arrested, John Cook, senior reporter with Yahoo News, already noticed that the "Soldier accused of murder in Afghanistan crossed paths with the Palin family."

Cook wrote:

Wasilla, as Palin frequently pointed out during the 2008 election campaign, is a very small community, so it's not surprising that the Palin family would have developed relationships, however incidental, with one of its residents. According to a 2009 People magazine profile of Bristol Palin, Jeremy Morlock's sister April is a friend of Bristol's and attended a "pizza and bingo party" at the Palin residence. And in 2005, Jeremy Morlock played in a high school hockey league with Palin's son Track, who himself served in the Army in Iraq. The two apparently attended different high schools.

Why won't Palin release her medical records and who really gave birth to Trig Palin?

We have Sarah Palins word on how far along her daughter is this time in her pregnancy. We now know that Sarah Palin has no problem lying. We also know that her daughters pregnancy could be hidden from the public before but not this time because of her position as McCains running mate. Sarah Palin also refuses to release her medical records which could settle this once an for all. It would also show us if the hospital where Trig Palin was born is involved in a cover up for the Palins. You be the judge!-Mem

I smell a scandal! There is new evidence coming to light that is implying that perhaps Sarah Palin’s four month old son Trig, who has been diagnosed with Down syndrome, is not her son, but rather her grandson! The 44-year old mother of five was wildly applauded in the pro-life circles for seeing the birth to term after the diagnosis of Down syndrome was detected while in the womb. There is now speculation that baby Trig may actually be the offpring of 17-year old daughter Bristol.

• March 6th – Sarah publicly announces she is seven months pregnant. Everyone, even close staff members were totally surprised, with no one speculating she was with child. (check out this photo taken a couple days later of the seven months pregnant Palin below)

• April 16th – When in Texas for the Republican Governor’s Convention to give a keynote speech, she allegedly began to leak amniotic fluid, a full month before the due date. But she didn’t rush to the hospital but just called her doc and went on to give her speech. "I was not going to miss that speech," she says.

• After speaking you’d think she rush to a local Dallas hospital but instead she hopped on an Alaska Airlines plane for an eight hour flight back home, with a stopover in Seattle. She didn’t let the airline know that she was pregnant and in labor. Most airlines require to be notified if you are seven months or more pregnant. (although Alaska doesn’t insist that passengers let them know). "Governor Palin was extremely pleasant to flight attendants and her stage of pregnancy was not apparent by observation as she didn’t show any signs of distress," Airline rep Caroline Boren said.”

• She lands in Anchorage and instead of going to one of the most equipped facilities for premature births in the state, she drives 45 minutes to the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center outside Wasilla, the tiny town she was once mayor of. She “delivered” Trig one month prematurely and then returned to work three days later. “The doctor, Cathy Baldwin-Johnson, approving of all of these actions borders on malpractice. Not treating leaking amniotic fluid causes infections, and time is of the essence after water breaks. Husband Todd Palin simply delivers this winner of a line: “You can’t have a fish picker from Texas””

• In regards to her daughter, at the time of her mom’s “pregnancy”, she was pulled out of high school due to catching mono. She was out of school from five to eight months (with cases of mono usually lasing 2 weeks to 3 months).

John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin said Monday that her 17-year-old unmarried daughter is five months pregnant, an announcement aimed at rebutting Internet rumors that Palin's youngest son, born in April, was actually her daughter's.

A statement released by the campaign said that Bristol Palin will keep her baby and marry the child's father. Bristol Palin is five months pregnant, and the baby is due in late December.

Just a few responses to this announcement:

Palin is certainly worthy of inclusion on a "Republican ticket" as she continues the example of "failed policies" set by GW. But it's not just abortion policy that has Democrats up in arms over Palin. In that same 2006 questionnaire, the soon-to-be governor said she would fund abstinence-only education programs in schools. "The explicit sex-ed programs," she added, "will not find my support." The stance, which reflected the priorities of the GOP, nevertheless led to an incredulous editorial in the Juneau Empire.

"Abstinence may be a laudable goal, but failing to educate teenagers about how to protect themselves from disease or unintended pregnancy is tragically misguided. According to the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, abstinence-only programs do not reduce sexual activity, teen pregnancy or sexually transmitted disease.
