The Letter:

For some time now, you have been an amusing, albeit mostly incoherent annoyance. But today you crossed a line. With that high cut helmet, carefully designed to allow your professionally coiffed hair to flow freely, you have tried to hijack a moment that you can't even begin to understand. You decided that an event that has for years been intended to call attention to our POW/MIAs would make a really cool photo-op, as well as a great kick-off for your next get-rich-quick scheme.

Well, Sarah, you picked my war this time. I had several buddies, two of whom died within a couple of meters of me, and you zoomed right past their names on The Wall today; winking and smiling all the way. You weren't invited, you weren't welcome, but when has that ever stopped you?

Did you make a few extra bucks for your PAC? If so, I hope that helps you sleep tonight. Because you see, Sarah, my buddies have been sleeping for 40 years; and if they knew that a two-bit grifter like you would one day be making money off of their sacrifice, they might not be resting as easily as I hope they are tonight.

I'm a Christian, Sarah, and I don't say this lightly ... God damn you, Sarah Palin.

Exponentially more offshore drilling and raping of our natural resources with nothing but apologies to the big corporations as they ruin the environment.

No significant environmentally-conscientious energy legislation ever

Creationism not evolution taught as science in every K-12 school in this country.

Texas-style rewrites of American history gone national.

Glenn Beck would have a cabinet position and Rush Limbaugh would be the new White House Press Secretary.

No drawdowns, to timelines, just more troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.

No rules of the road for Wall Street and financial institutions.

Lower taxes for the rich.

Repeal of health care reform.

Elimination of Social Security.

More ultra conservative Supreme court Judicial appointment — which will inevitably lead to the repeal of Roe v. Wade. This will cause the unintended and unwanted births of thousands of children each year who will be abused, neglected and impoverished.

The passage of a new Patriot Act. This one designed specifically to weed out “anti-American” Americans. Bill authored by Minnesota Rep. Michelle Bachmann.

Drastically scaled back government spending to boost the economy, huge increases in government spending on new military conflicts and 20th century military technology (like massive Cold War era fighter planes that are absolutely useless except that they make the military brass as giddy as school girls).

The possibility that someone even dumber that George W. Bush (Sarah Palin) will occupy the White House.

No repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. In fact, there might be a constitutional amendment to ban all gays, even the hidden ones, from joining the military.

A 24-foot wall on the U.S. Mexican border and 24-hour brigade of armed guards posted 12-feet apart with orders to shoot anything that moves, costing about $200 billion per year. Contract awarded to Blackwater.

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin Accused Of Abuse Of Power And Nepotism In Firing Of Walt Monegan.

The blogger reporting this is former Alaska State Representative and former gubernatorial candidate Andrew Halcro. Over the past weekend, Governor Palin fired Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan without warning, and has not disclosed the precise reasons to the public. In addition, she didn't have the balls to do it face-to-face, but dumped the dirty job on a flunkie.

Now the possibility emerges that Palin fired Monegan because Monegan wouldn't fire a State Trooper who had divorced Palin's younger sister.

Since this information originated with a blogger, I considered it more appropriate to post this in Opinion rather than in Breaking News. However, even if Palin is exonerated, this knocks her out of contention to be McCain's running mate. As an Alaskan, I can tell you first hand that Sarah Palin is UNQUALIFIED to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency.
