Do you ever get the feeling that Tea Party Republicans see the phrase “Ignorance Is Bliss” as a Mission Statement?

Priceless! (Video)

For those who didn't see this last night, it was priceless. I have always believed in God, a power that is greater then me. But with that said, I do not believe in organized religion and have said this many times. I think organized religion is a way to control and govern. It is not Big Government that people should fear, but religions that teach others to hate what they don't know or understand.
It is one thing to believe in God but it is another thing to believe in a "organization" that speaks for God or Jesus.  If I need to speak to God I don't have to be in a church to do that or confess my "sins" to a priest.  I can talk to God anytime I want, anywhere I want and I certainly know the God I believe in does not choose for me to be manipulated and controlled by an organization.
The God I believe in makes it possible for me to love my friends who are Atheist, Agnostic, Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish Faith or Holy Rollers but I do not have to believe in a "religion" that those who call themselves Christians worship.  (and yes, I meant just that...the "religion" they worship)
My God has made it possible for me to know that the color of a persons skin is nothing in his eyes, no more then a black dog or cat is any different then a white dog or cat.  A blue bird is no different then a red bird. Color is a part of the beauty of creation and every color is beautiful in my God's eyes.  I am saddened by those who have let "their religion" blind them to a loving God that must be so disappointed in those who "use" him to spread their hate and I am so proud of Lawrence O'Donnell for having the courage to speak the truth.-Mem
