Do you ever get the feeling that Tea Party Republicans see the phrase “Ignorance Is Bliss” as a Mission Statement?

5/29/11

Let me get this straight! In America it is legal for the tea party to carry weapons but you can't dance?

So in America you can carry guns to town hall meetings, outside of the white house, carry threatening, hateful signs, get on stage, (see Ted Nugent video) threaten our President but you cannot dance?  When does this stop and when does our President and the people say enough?

Adam Kokesh body slammed, choked, police brutality at Jefferson Memorial

  2. Dale I agree and what amazes me are all the republican teaparty people who fight along side their party for "Freedom" while their party continues to strip the American People of all their freedoms!  We live in a Country where it is against the law to smoke inside some establishments, it is against the law to spit in the street, go into some establishments if you are a person of color (and yes, that still happens) decide what is best for your body and yet teathugs can carry guns anywhere they want, threaten the citizens or the President but God forbid you get caught dancing because we the "police" will slam you to the ground, choke you and don't by God let us catch you kissing in public!  WTH?

  7. Hey, this is being done UNDER OBAMA'S WATCH!  Why do you like the bastard?

  8. Why didn't I hear anything about the signs and names that were used against Bush.  He was threatened and called everything but human and none of you said a word!

  9. That is NOT true Rseaman.  There are MANY on the left who spoke out about that.  As a matter of fact if you were at a bush event and even had a T-shirt on that crossed out a picture of Bush you would get arrested.

  10. This has to do with the Right Kenneth and nothing to do with the government.  Those on the right (teaparty) have invoked hate and violence since the day the President ran for the Whitehouse and everyone knows it.  This has to do with the bully mentality spilling down to those who are suppose to protect us! Period!

  11. Apparently you can hold up giant signs of aborted fetuses in front of people's children and hold signs saying "God Hates Fags!" outside the Lincoln Memorial, but you can't dance without music there. Just wow.

  12.  Sorry, Jefferson.

  13. Obviously, you have comprehension issues.  The 2nd Amendment guarantees the right to carry a gun, the Tea Party does not endorse hate, Ted Nugent did not threaten the president, and apparently you don't understand that it is Obama who is responsible for the beat down this kid got.
Step away from the drugs, and stop allowing the media to program your thinking.
You're makeing a complete ass of yourself.

  14. Speaking of ass and stepping away from drugs....I need not saying anymore.  I have always ignored ignorance so consider yourself ignored!

  15. What are you smoking, Chazzone?  Ted Nugent did, in fact, threaten the President - on video (okay, so it's fine since he wasn't the president at the time?!?).  The tea party does, in fact, endorse hate - and I have the pictures to prove it.  You people need to man up and at least admit that you hate minorities, you're all bigots, you hate President Obama because he's not a rich white dude, and you love your guns because you believe Glenn Beck's "end of times" theories.  Just own it.  Why so cowardly?

  16. teabugger candidates for house and senate both recommended armed violence against the president through "second amendment solutions." The second amendment says that a member of a militia can be issued a gun (there are no militias--it was a failed attempt to eliminate the standing army--and people who pretend to be militias so they can drink beer in the woods can hardly be called "well regulated"). Ted Nugent invited both Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton to "suck on the muzzle" of a machine gun, which he brandished on stage. You may be too young or inexperienced to understand expressions like "wiped slick," "pop a cap," or "suck on a machine gun." but they all mean "kill." Whether you use drugs or not, the white right wing teabuggers want to see blood flow in the streets. Although they depend for survival on government programs themselves, they stupidly demand the end of these programs for fear someone browner than themselves might also benefit from them. The right wing is all about racism, violence, and oppression.

  17. you're telling me that people used signs and names against bush? how do you know that? You must have heard something about them or you wouldn't be gassing about them now. He was never threatened. We are allowed to call the president anything we want--the first amendment guarantees that. And we can say it in a sign or with our voices.

  19. Gabby well said!  These are their very words that you are using and yet they all deny their hate, racism and violence.  If they are the media or members of congress they say they mis-spoke.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Gabby you are correct about this and the reason that you never saw signs or name calling is because you would get arrested.  No an or if's about it.  When I say their were those on the left who spoke out about about this, I am talking about a forum I was a member on.  During that time many on the left were having discussions about Bush and some were not so nice but NEVER racist, hateful, violence mongering.  Still those on the left would step in and say..."Let's not sink to their level" speaking of those on the right who would come in and start name calling, cursing and bashing anyone who had an opinion about Bush.  I NEVER heard people threaten Bush in any of these conversations.

  21. If I were in Washington I would dance at the Jefferson Memorial every day in protest, and when I got out of jail or the hospital I would do it again and again. I would have someone film it too.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Don I do understand that it is against the memorial rules to dance, etc. at the memorial.  It is suppose to be a somber place for whatever crazy reason but with that being said, the cops should have just told them to leave.  I think the cops handled this whole thing wrong.  Abuse is never acceptable.  The point I have really tried to stress here is the tea party can carry guns to town hall meetings and anywhere else they want to but people who are doing peaceful protest are getting arrested.  It has also happened in other areas of the Country as well from what I understand.  When does peaceful protest vs guns, nasty racist signs even become a question?

  23. The Tea Bagging Party may not endorse hate, but it sure does promote it. Nugent has been sick in the head a long time now. We're still hoping he'll snap out of it. Nugent came as close to threatening Obama as one can get without actually doing it. Close enough for me to see Nugent as pretty damn un-American.
Step away from your sad, sick, right-wing mind poison. You're already an ass enough.
    Quit watching that FOX crap.
Read the Rolling Stone article about Roger Ailes, the mind-poisoner of America.
He doesn't care about this nation. He only cares about winning, power and money, and its evident with his every move and word.
Time for you to wake up now and care about America's best interests, not those of your corporate master.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yeah, but those signs and messages were correct, on target and justified! Look at the terrible things he did to this nation! It's a pity he wasn't shot dead early in his first term!
This nation would be in a much better situation if that had happened! Quit living in FOX stupid land.

  25. If Bush wasn't threatened or called an ass, he should have been, because Bush, both of 'em as a matter of fact, were stupid, selfish, corporation servants.

  26. Dan I was raised in a very religious home as well as a republican home.  It amazes me that those who support the hate of people like Nugent, Palin, Fox, Limbuagh profess to be Christians.  The religious right has always been controlled through fear, etc. when it comes to politics.  The republicans have always banked on fear, lies and dirty tactics to control the right.  Now you have the teathugs (Koch Brothers) who have these people fighting against their own self-interest so that corporations can control this country.  They are blinded and if they want to fear something...it should be the teapublicans!

Here are a few links on my blog that you might enjoy.  Thanks for posting and I so agree!
