I started this blog during the 2008 elections for my granddaughter. Until a short time ago it was a private blog with just a few friends and family members able to read it. Several suggested I open it to the public. Since it has been open to the public for such a short time, my purpose for promoting is to promote conversation.
Even though my stats show that I have a lot of viewers in such a short time, most of my FB friends go back to my page to comment because I share these post there as well as on Twitter.
A friend suggested I do something to promote my blog and get people to comment here as well so I have added the Question and Opinion for this week as well as....

I Will list and show pictures of Prize at some point during the month. Links shown are just a few of the things I make and do to give you an idea of kind of prize you may get. I do much more that is not shown in shops.
Winner will be given several choices to choose from!
Many have asked why I started an online scrapbook and part of it has to do with my love for saving things. When I was a child I loved to put scrapbooks together. As an adult, not so much!
During the elections we had moved to a small town 80 miles NW of Austin and found that it was a "republican" town and any news in the two small papers covered only events about McCain and Palin so I decided I would get my news online and save it so that my Granddaughter would have the history of (what I felt to be) an historic election.
I will add that I am glad that I did because when President Obama won, the front page news here was McCain and Palin lose presidency to Obama. (huge picture of McCain/Palin) Nothing really in the article said a whole lot about the President winning accept to say our countries "first black President" in one of the lines of the article.
I was going to stop writing in the blog after the elections but things just kept happening that I thought my Granddaughter (she is now 11) should know about and remember....it's like I always tell her...it's always something......when you have the Countries first black President and I'm just as Proud of him today as I was the day he won!
So, have fun and welcome to my Scrapbook Blog!-Mem
