Do you ever get the feeling that Tea Party Republicans see the phrase “Ignorance Is Bliss” as a Mission Statement?

12/7/10

Where were the Progressives when the Republicans were destroying our Country?

It's possible to go too far to the right and too far to the left!  Extreme is extreme no matter which side you are on.  I am writing this today because today is the perfect day for all the trolls to come out as well as those who are truly angry at our President.

I have many friends who are "real progressives" who care about this Country and care about real change and the people of this Country but as a whole, I think a huge amount of Progressives are just like the Republicans.  *Make sure you read the updates and stories from other bloggers, etc!

They sit in their "houses", with their jobs or business and their money in the bank and think of ways to destroy the President instead of ways to help the President keep people in their homes, create jobs and hold Congress responsible for their all out war against the President.  Not to mention the gutless Democrats in Congress who have not supported the President or the people!

They are like selfish children who want it their way and want it now.  Where were these people during the Bush years?  Why is the anger being placed at destroying the President instead of where it belongs?

The Republican party has held us hostage and the Democrats in Congress helped them.  The republicans lied and convinced their sheeple that the rich and the corporations should get the tax cuts because they are the Job Creators!  Well, they got their tax cut so hold them to their lies!  Demand that jobs are created right now by the rich, the corporations and the Republican party.  Demand that jobs are created in America, not in some foreign Country!  If the progressives are so damn mad then put the anger where it belongs!  (or admit that you are a damn troll)

The President has made decisions that have not been popular because he has a Democratic Party with no balls and has had no support from either party!  Yesterday he made a decision for those without checks, those losing their homes and those who had no hope of a Christmas for their families.  He made this decision knowing that this would hurt any chance of him having a second term but yet he did what he felt was right for the Country...feed the hungry for one more day or say no to the Party Of No!

I'm just going to say this while I'm here!  I don't jump on the band wagon with just any one or any cause that comes along.  I deleted over 2000 "so called progressives" on my twitter list who were actually republican and tea party trolls so next time you jump on the band wagon for a cause, make sure you know which wagon you have jumped on! When I hear a progressive use the words of the republicans or the tea thugs then I'm pretty sure who they really are.  Good example, one of the tea thugs favorites lines...."stick a fork in Obama, he's done"!  Be smart people!  Working with the enemy and being used by the enemy is your own fault for not seeing the signs and understanding fully why you are fighting for something.  Make sure you know who you are fighting for or against and why.  Also remember that the left have sheeple as well so make sure you are fighting for what you believe, not just because it's the popular course to take at the moment! Be true to yourself, not a fad!

I will also say that history shows that other Presidents had to make choices out of need for the people and history shows it was the Progressives who destroyed that President, not the republican party!  The Progressive are causing the same division that the tea party caused. So if your only goal is to destroy the President then at least be honest enough to show who you really are!

Many people will eat today, have a check today and have health insurance for their child today because of our President and many people are grateful today!  My son has health insurance for his daughter today just as many of you do for your kids.  So your anger is really un-becoming to me!

I am exhausted from my fight against the Republican Party, the Tea Party and now the Progressives (meaning those progressives who are out to destroy the President) so I can only imagine how President Barack Obama must feel!-Mem
Update on my post-Just saw this and thought it would be a good comment to add to my feelings on this!
-"You can attack the President to the point that you will get a Republican President, so keep that in mind." ~ Rep. Keith Ellison, Chairman of the Congressional PROGRESSIVE Caucus.
Update:  Adding some interesting articles from other blogs, etc.

  2. Thank you for posting CarolAnnB. I really do wish the Democrats would put their anger where it belongs. With those Democrats in Congress who NEVER had the Presidents back, voted with the republicans and then screamed foul play. They should hold the Republicans feet to the fire who HAVE held this Country hostage and convinced the sheeple that we MUST give (them) and the other rich people a tax break because they are the job creators. People need to DEMAND that the repubs, the rich and the corporations now CREATE those Jobs and CREATE them here in America. No more outsourcing! Oye I could just go on about this forever!:)

  3. Writing "I think a huge amount of Progressives are just like the Republicans," shows you are uninformed.

There are 57 Democrats in the Senate, only 2, Mark Udall and Roland Burris are members of the Progressive Caucus. What would make you think there is a huge number of progressives in the senate? Fox News? Go check it out: http://cpc.grijalva.house.gov/

As for the huge number in the House, they actually represent only 79 (30.5%) of the 255 Democrats. Guess what? Everything bill the President wanted has been passed in the House, so you have no problem with progressives there. His bills lay languishing in a Senate where Moderate and Conservative Democrats make up 96.5% of the Democratic Party held Senate seats.

Now that you know who the progressives are and where the problem is, it would appear your assessment is no assessment at all.

  4. Very well said! Thanks for directing me here. I'm so mad I could spit! It took less than 10 minutes for the congressional democrats to be "outraged" at Obama's capitulation, but not one of them had an answer for how they would have done better. Prior to the election, a grand total of 2 Senate democrats, Keyes and Weiner, actually fought for anything in the last 2 years. One of them was voted out. Where are the fighters? On the campaign trail, that's where. Pathetic.

  5. Mike Wrona first of all I do not watch fox and if you bothered to see the rest of this blog you would know that. AND if you paid attention somewhat you would realize that I am talking about the progressives as a whole. I'm not talking about those in Congress. I am talking about the righteous left who are blaming President Obama for everything when in FACT the Democrats had all the power. There is NO excuse for what has happened since President Obama has been in office. I believe all of my readers accept you have understood the meaning of this article so it would appear that your observation is no observation at all!

  6. Miki thanks for taking the time to post. (and even though I don't agree with your assessment Mike thank you for posting as well) Miki I am still angry about this and very tired of fighting the left. Noticed last night that I haven't debated with a republican or teathug for sometime. My debates have been with the far left. I realized that the right are sitting back, letting us destroy ourselves and our President while they all high five with their battle cry of mission accomplished. I have news for them though...I am not finished fighting!
