Do you ever get the feeling that Tea Party Republicans see the phrase “Ignorance Is Bliss” as a Mission Statement?

Demise of Families

America For Purchase

Demise Of Families-Sponsored by 2010 Republican Tea Party
Tea_Party_Candidates.jpgThe 2010 Election season has brought out some of the most unstable, violence inciting, bigoted and racist people brought to the American voting booth by Republicans and their Corporate-owned Tea Party. Not ONE of these candidates has provided a single initiative to support American families, children, seniors or the U.S. Military.  They have not offered ONE single solution to put Americans back to work in America.  They are solely and singled minded focused on taking away the rights, jobs, security and stability of the American family.

They want to end Medicare, many want to end Social Security or at the very least, 104 Republicans want to privatize it and give Wall Street our tax savings to invest and to pay Wall Street CEOs hundreds of millions of dollars to manage our money.  They want to put health insurance companies back in control of every family in America. They want to end the Department of Education and turn public schools over to Corporate America for profit. They want to expand government to be very intrusive in women’s lives and family decision-making.

They want to increase the U.S. Deficit by adding $700 billion to pay for extending the Bush Tax cuts for America’s richest and they want to add an additional $455 billion to the deficit by repealing Health Care Reform.

Republicans in the U.S. Senate have already broken all records for unprincipled partisan obstructionism, grid locking Congress to fight against saving the U.S. Economy, saving jobs for police, firefighters and teachers, and fighting against rebuilding America’s crumbling infrastructure. Today a bumper crop of far-right GOP candidates threatens to turn the “deliberative body” into a haven for extremists who view much of the federal government as unconstitutional and who are itching to shut it down. Now Americans are facing new, more extreme radicals whose primary goals are to support Corporate America, Wall Street Banks and the U.S. Chamber’s plan to ship jobs overseas.

If Republicans and Tea Party candidates were really serious about putting Americans back to work  they would not have recently, partnered to defeat the Creating American Jobs and Ending Offshoring Act, a bill that would have raised taxes on companies that send jobs abroad and benefited companies that bring jobs back to American soil.   The notion that it’s good business for American corporations to send jobs overseas has been championed by U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the nation’s biggest and most powerful business lobby.

Republicans have already gone on record stating they will not compromise with the President or with Democrats in the next two years.  They plan to govern only to help continue the takeover of Americans by Corporations and foreign countries and in conjunction with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, continue to ship American jobs overseas, boosting foreign economies while simultaneously driving down the U. S. economy. Because of failed Republican policies:
Here are a few Republican Tea Party candidates and their radical views for taxpaying American families, sadly there are many others just as radical and anti-family.  Look at the positions of Joe Miller, Carly Fiorina, Ken Buck, Christine O’Donnell, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Sharon Angle and Pat Toomey:
Joe Miller (AK) – Republican / Tea Party Candidate:
He tweeted “What’s the difference in selling out your party’s values and the oldest profession?”

Carly Fiorina (CA) – Republican / Tea Party Candidate: (Fired former Hewlett-Packard employee, she is endorsed by Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint, Mike Huckabee, and Tea Party activists)
Ken Buck (CO) – Republican / Tea Party Candidate: (He said “I do not wear high heels” on why people should not support the female governor) Buck has demonstrated he is anti-women
Christine O’Donnell (DE) – Republican / Tea Party Candidate: (She lied about her education on her website and resume, she did not attend Fairleigh Dickinson University, she did not attend nor receive a master’s degree at Princeton University, and she did not attend Oxford University did not attend the colleges/universities she claimed)
  • Says, “America is now a socialist economy,” and calls President Obama’s support for a U.N. global poverty initiative “perhaps the greatest affront to our national sovereignty since the War of 1812”
  • Said, “we took the Bible and prayer out of public schools, now we’re having weekly shootings practically”
  • Calls the DISCLOSE Act, which requires corporations to make public their spending on behalf of political candidates, a “grassroots gag order”
  • Says that there is “just as much, if not more” evidence for creationism – as there is for the scientific theory of evolution
  • Opposes gays serving in the military and equal rights for gay Americans
  • Strongly opposes a woman’s right to choose, allows no exceptions for women who have been raped
  • Founded and led a group called Savior’s Alliance for Lifting the Truth, where she promoted abstinence and decried masturbation and homosexuality.
  • Used campaign donations to pay her rent
  • Does not know the 1st Amendment regarding separation of church and state
  • Opposes women being allowed to attend all-male military colleges
  • Calls for Repeal of Health Care Reform
Marco Rubio (FL) – Republican / Tea Party Candidate: (He bragged to the religious right “You know what the fastest growing religion in America is? Satanism)
  • Opposes to repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell – which puts him at odds with three quarters of the American people.
  • Says the separation of church and state is not in our founding documents and backed the right of public schools to teach intelligent design.
  • Says, “I don’t think there’s the scientific evidence to justify “legislation to address global warming” and that cap and trade will “make us the cleanest third world economy on the planet.”
  • Supports Arizona’s draconian anti-immigrant law, attacks Hispanics living in America
  • Said “if the Constitution of the United States is a living breathing document, then it stands for whatever people want.”
  • Wants to extend Bush tax cuts for wealthy and have taxpaying Americans pay for it
  • Opposes repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell- believes the Constitution applies to white Americans only
  • Is against stem-cell research
  • Has spoken against a “constitutional “right to privacy”
  • Wants to require pregnant women to undergo an ultrasound
  • Said the separation of church and state is not in our founding documents
  • Opposes a ban on the sale of assault weapons, and is endorsed by both the NRA and religious right
  • He said there are millions of people in America that hate our country, so why can’t we just do a trade; so Republicans and the Tea Party will have to leave America
Rand Paul (KY) Republican / Tea Party Candidate: (He is backed by Mitch McConnell, Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint, James Dobson and right wing organizations Club for Growth and Citizens United)
Sharon Angle (NV) – Republican / Tea Party Candidate:
Pat Toomey (PA) – Republican / Tea Party Candidate: (a former derivatives trader, opposes Wall Street, Credit Card and Student Loan Reform; backed by the religious right and James Dobson)
When Republicans and the Tea Party say ‘return to the Constitution’ they usually do not know exactly what is contained in this document, they can offer no legitimate argument on how America has gotten away from the Constitution, but more importantly these anti-American positions are really designed to re-write the U.S. Constitution in opposition of the founding principles of America.

Republicans consistently opposed tax relief for small businesses and the middle class, justifying their obstruction with phony, hypocritical arguments about spending. Republicans have tried to block extensions of unemployment benefits and aid for homeowners to prevent foreclosures as they continue to support shipping American jobs overseas and keep secret donations from foreign governments which are buying these jobs to grow their own economies at the expense of the U.S. Economy. Republicans and the Tea Party are poised to add billions to the deficit, impose government control over the bodies of American women, and give government control to Corporate America.

It should be clear from the 8 years of the Bush Administration that Republicans are predators, stalking working families in an ongoing effort to glean by any means possible, the income and assets which they can take and use for their own greedy purposes.  Should Republicans and Tea Party extremists take control of Congress, the demise of American jobs, benefits and families will continue to increase; and Americans who chose not to vote, will be complicit in this demise.
