Palin benefits from living in the Governor's Mansion all expenses paid
Newly released personal financial statements just released indicate Sarah Palin and Todd Palin are not your average American income earners.
Although Sarah Palin’s tax returns have yet not been released it would be interesting to see if she declared the taxable benefits she received which were paid at taxpayers’ expense for her to be sleeping in her own home. Palin dinged the taxpayers for over $17,000.00 for per diem expenses where she was supposedly staying in a hotel, but was actually sleeping in her own home.
Another gross expense for the taxpayer is her billing for over $ 43,490.00 for her families travel expenses. Todd Palin also put in for travel expenses while on unrelated business at snowmobile events.
Total income for the Palins’ which includes:
Governors Salary $ 125,000.00
Todd Palin Oil Production $ 46,790.00
T. Palin Fishing Income 46,265.00
T. Palin Snowmobile Winnings 10,500.00
S. Palin Per Diem Charges 17,000.00

Other assets include the house valued at 1,200,000.00, Commercial fishing rights $50,000.00, 5 lots at Safari Lake $30,000.00, Cabin on Iditaod Trail $55,000.00, Plane estimated at $ 55,000.00, Coffee Point Shoreline leases $ 30,000.00, and Set Net site $ 20,000.00 for a total net worth in assets known as $1,440,000.00.
Not your average American income and assets when the average American has a total average debt of $ 9,840.00 in credit debt while Sarah Palin enjoys no credit card debt at all.
The average American voter will be putting utilities and food on their credit cards as a method to live with today’s high prices of food and other household expenses.
Although she is not as rich as John McCain her income totals his income for 2007 which was reported as $ 400,000.00 for McCain not including his wife Cindy McCain’s income.
What we see is a woman who has no understanding of the hardships of American women although she claims to be a “common everyday hockey mom”. What is equally disturbing about Sarah Palin is her excessively billing the taxpayers for her lifestyle and her deceptiveness in her billing the taxpayer for per diem expenses when she was actually staying in her own home. This does not speak well for Sarah Palin as a rich Republican who takes advantage of her position when she has an above average income for her family. Sarah Palin is a very rich woman presenting herself as a poor hockey mom.
The public is still waiting for her to release her tax returns for the previous years and whether she did claim the per diem expenses as a taxable benefit, which means she would have to report these as taxable income.
We hope the voters get to know these facts before Election Day, if Palin gets around to releasing them as Obama has done.
